Iran: 'World's dirtiest man' Amou Haji dies

| @indiablooms | Oct 27, 2022, at 12:29 am

An Iranian hermit, who had not taken bath for half a century and was even dubbed by the media as the “world’s dirtiest man”, has died.
He was 94.

Amou Haji had refused to use soap and water for more than half a century, fearing it would make him sick, reports BBC.

He had earlier avoided previous attempts made by villagers in Fars to get him cleaned.

He recently got himself washed amid pressure.

According to Iran's IRNA news agency, he became ill shortly afterwards and died on Sunday, reports BBC.
