Hillary Clinton nominated for US president

Washington, July 27 (IBNS): Making history, Hillary Clinton on Tuesday secured the Democratic Party's U.S. presidential nomination for the US Presidential polls.

She has become the first woman to get the ticket for the polls from a major party in the country.

She will accept the nomination on Thursday.

Endorsing his wife, former US President Bill Clinton said: "She is the best qualified person for this moment in history."

Remembering her,Clinton said: "In the spring of 1971 I met a girl. The first time I saw her we were in a class on Political and Civil Rights."

"I married my best friend. I was still in awe of…how smart and strong and loving and caring she was," he said.

He said Hillary opened his eyes to a whole new world of public service.

He said," She is still the best darn changemaker I have ever known."
