Harvard University evacuates four buildings following bomb scare

Washington, Nov 17 (IBNS): The Harvard University on Monday said it evacuated four buildings on it campus after receiving an 'unconfirmed bomb threat'.

A warning was first posted on the University's website at 12:31 local time which read: "An unconfirmed bomb threat has been received. The Science Ctr, Sever, Emerson, and Thayer Halls are being evacuated. More info to follow."

The buildings were later searched by law enforcement officials.

"All four affected buildings – the Science Center, as well as Emerson, Sever and Thayer Halls – have been thoroughly searched by law enforcement, determined to be safe, and reopened. Nothing to substantiate the emailed threat has been found and the investigation regarding the source is ongoing," read the website.
