Robstown, Texas, July 28 (IBNS): Five people were killed in separate shootings that included a nursing home in a Corpus Christi suburb in Texas in what authorities said were related incidents.

According to The New York Times, three people were shot to death at a Texas nursing home on Friday night and two others were found dead at a nearby residence.

the incidents happened in the city of Robstown at the Retama Manor Nursing Center about 7 pm (local time) on Friday.

Those found dead in the nursing home included the killer, the newspaper quoted  Herman Rodriguez, a spokesman for the city, as saying.

Officials did not specifically say how the killer had died.

Two other people were found dead inside the home of the shooter,

They said the threat at the nursing home had been “neutralized” by the time officers arrived.

The nursing home was put on lockdown and a possible motive for the shooting is still unclear. The investigation is ongoing.
