Excitement in the air: Donald Trump tweets ahead of meeting with Kim in Singapore

Singapore City, June 11 (IBNS): US President Donald Trump on Monday said he is feeling excited to be in Singapore to attend his first meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

"Great to be in Singapore, excitement in the air!," Trump tweeted.

Trump arrived in Singapore for the meeting on Sunday.

Trump arrived in the country 36 hours before the meeting.

Trump arrived on Air Force One at Singapore's Paya Lebar Air Base at 8:21 p.m. local time, where he was greeted by Singapore's Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan. Kim arrived at Singapore's commercial airport on an Air China Boeing 747 just more than five hours earlier, reported CNN.

Trump arrived in Singapore from Canada where he attended the G7 Summit.

Meanwhile, Kim has also reached Singapore meeting.
