Washington/IBNS: US President Donald Trump's National Security Advisor tested positive for COVID-19, the White House said on Monday.

Robert O'Brien, who holds a post of significance in the administration, "has been self-isolating and working from a secure location off site," the White House said in a statement to media.

The statement also clarified that there is no risk of exposure of him to the President or Vice President.

The United States is the worst-hit country by the pandemic globally.

The US currently has 42,38,500 cases of the contagion and 1,46,968 deaths, according to John Hopkins University & Medicine live coronavirus map.
