London, June 17 (IBNS): British Prime Minister David Cameron and Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn on Friday paid tribute to MP Jo Cox who was killed on Thursday.
"Jeremy Corbyn and I stood together to pay tribute to Jo Cox - an extraordinary and compassionate campaigning MP," Cameron tweeted.

"In tribute to Jo Cox, we must drive out hatred, division and intolerance where we find them in our public life and communities," he said.

Jo Cox has died after being attacked in her constituency in Yorkshire in England on Thursday, reports said.
Cox was 41.

A mother-of-two, Cox represents the opposition Labour party.

The incident took place in broad daylight on Thursday that reportedly caused campaigning for next week's EU referendum to be suspended.
