Bangkok: Bomb blast at train station kills 1

Pattani, Sept 3 (IBNS): At least one person was killed as abomb exploded on the tracks in front of a railway station at Pattani province of Thailand on Saturday, media reports said.

The incident reportedly left three people injured.

The blast, which occurred at 5.30pm at the Ban Nikhom Khok Pho station, damaged the Sungai Kolok-Bangkok train.

Pol Col Pramot Juichuay, a duty-officer at the Khok Pho police station  was quoted as saying by Bangkok Post that the bomb was placed on the tracks and exploded when the train passed over it as it passed the station.
