Damascus/Homs, Feb 22 (IBNS) At least 34 people were reported dead in Syria's Homs after a twin terrorist bomb attack rocked the city on Sunday, according to the state run Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

The agency also reported that the death toll in Damascus's al-Sayyida Zeinab rose to 83 while another 178 lay injured.

ISIS has claimed responsibility for the blasts, reports said.

Speaking about the Homs blast, their Governor Talal al-Barazi was quoted by SANA as saying, "The repeated terrorist attacks in Homs target the strong internal front that is standing by the side of the Syrian army making victories on various fronts."

According to reports, terrorists blew up two cars heavily laden with explosives near  al-Arman neighborhood in the main al-Siteen Street in Homs city.

Meanwhile the Damascus killings were due to three successive bombings by the terrorists.

"The bombing was followed by two other suicide bombings with explosive belts after the civilians gathered in the place," SANA reported.

Both the attacks were condemned by the PM Wael al-Halaqi.
