Sachin, Warne planning to start T20 league?
The Australian reported that 'the pair were fronting a company called Cricket All Stars League (CASL), which has approached a range of very high-profile former players.'
"Warne wants old teammates such as Glenn McGrath, Ricky Ponting, Matthew Hayden, Brett Lee and Adam Gilchrist, along with a number of international former stars including Andrew Flintoff, Michael Vaughan and Jacques Kallis. Tendulkar is also actively involved in the recruiting," reported the news paper.
According to reports, 15 games have been planned for 42 months initially.
The first match of the tournament has been planned to be held in September.
Sachin and Warne are however facing competition from another group.
"A second group, backed by a large Middle Eastern hotel chain, is believed to be offering icon players a $US100,000 sign-on fee to join a United Arab Emirates-based T20 competition with six franchises due to begin in February," The Australian reported.
