Rio: Manoj Kumar beat London Olympics bronze-medalist Evaldas Petrauskas

Rio de Janeiro, Aug 11 (IBNS): Indian boxer Manoj Kumar put up a strong show as he defeated London Olympics bronze-medalist Evaldas Petrauskas in a crucial Rio Olympics clash on Thursday.

The Indian defeated his opponent 2-1.

He reached the pre-quarterfinals of the Olympic Boxing competition in 64kg category following the victory.

Meanwhile, amid threat of disqualification over not wearing vests that included country's name, the kit of the Indian boxer have been replaced.

The move has been mandated International Boxing Association (AIBA).
