Port of Spain, Aug 19 (IBNS): Joining the long list of celebrities, Indian cricket team's Test captain, Virat Kohli, congratulated shuttler PV Sindhu for winning her semifinal match and wished her luck before the mega final.

Virat, who is in the West Indies, playing for the nation, posted a video on Twitter to share his message.

"PV Sindhu I want to congratulate you for guaranteeing India its first Silver medal at the Olympics," he said, while adding, "You have made the country so so proud and tomorrow's gonna be an epic battle, it's gonna be an epic clash."

"I wish you all the best, all the way here from the West Indies," he said.

"I hope you bring Gold for the country, but nonetheless, whatever happens, you are a champion and I send you all the power and all the wishes. Good luck to you. Jai Hind," the Indian skipper added.

A dominant Sindhu took down her Japanese opponent, Nozomi Okuhara, 21-19, 21-10, in the semifinals.
