Pink Ball Test: England win toss, elect to bat first against India
Ahmedabad/IBNS: England skipper Joe Root won the toss and elected to bat first against India in the second Test match at Narendra Modi Stadium here on Wednesday.
England made four changes to their team by bringing in James Anderson, Jofra Archer, Zak Crawley and Jonny Bairstow in the squad.
India made a couple of changes by bringing in Jasprit Bumrah and Washington Sundar in the team.
After getting decimated in the first Test, India came back strong in the second Test to square the series 1-1.

India have played only two Pink Ball Tests so far, winning at home against Bangladesh in 2019 and losing badly against Australia in Adelaide.
This will also be the second Pink Ball Test in the country as the first such day-night match was played against Bangladesh at Eden Gardens in Kolkata in 2019.
Earlier in the day, the Motera Stadium has been renamed as the Narendra Modi Stadium.

India XI: R Sharma, S Gill, C Pujara, V Kohli, A Rahane, R Pant, W Sundar, R Ashwin, A Patel, J Bumrah, I Sharma.
