The Kiwis scored an insurmountable 393 for six in the stipulated 50 overs while the Caribbean batsmen were all out for 250 in 30.3 overs despite a lone fightback by their opener Chris Gayle, who scored a hurricane 61 off 33 balls.

Guptill, who became the only New Zealander to score a double century in ODI, was declared man of the match.
