Indian shooters shine on Monday

Glasgow, July 28 (IBNS) Indian shooters made impressive performance in the ongoing Commonwealth Games here as Jitu Rai clinched gold while Gagan Narang and Gurpal Singh grabbed a silver medal each on Monday.

Rai won gold in the men's 50 m pistol event .

In the same event, Gurpal Singh won the silver by scoring 187.2.

Rai scored 194.1 while the bronze winner Daniel Repacholi had 166.6.

Seasoned shooter Narang on the other hand won the silver medal in the 50 metre rifle prone event with 203.6 points.

The gold medal was clinched by Australian shooter Warren Potent with 204.3 points. The bronze went to Kenneth Parr with 182.
