India-England: Sanju Samson, Karn Sharma named in squad

Mumbai, Aug 5 (IBNS) As Indian team gear up to face England in the fourth Test match, the All-India Senior Selection Committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) named a 17-member One Day International squad to face the same side in the upcoming five ODIs and T20 Internationals later this month.

Selectors have included Kerala wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson and Railways legspinner Karn Sharma in the squad.

Suresh Raina, who was the captain of the Indian side that toured Bangladesh for a short ODI series earlier, has been retain in the side.

With less than a year left for the World Cup, the England tour will be crucial for young cricketers like Sanju Samson, Mohit Sharma, Stuart Binny, and Karn Sharma to make a mark and get into the Indian side which will play in the tournament.

India will play five ODIs and one T20 International against England, from Aug 25  to Sept 7.
