Ind vs Aus: Australia lose 3 wickets, score 109 runs

Ranchi, Mar 16 (IBNS): Winning the toss and electing to bat first, the Australian team have put on 109 runs for the loss of three wickets in the morning session of play, here on Thursday, in the third Test match against India.

Indian quick Umesh Yadav and the spin twin of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja have picked up a wicket each.

The Australian started the innings well, accumulating 50 runs for the inaugural wicket, until David Warner hit a full-toss from Ravindra Jadeja back to the bowler.

The Australian vice captain had another disappointing outing as he returned back to the hut for 19 runs.

Matt Renshaw was the next to go, as he was out for 44 runs.

The south paw hit seven boundaries in his 69-ball knock.

Nine runs later, Shaun Marsh was caught in the close in area off Ashwin, to leave Australia at 89 for 3.

Australian skipper Steven Smith and middle order batsman Peter Handscomb is at the crease and will resume batting on 34 and 6 respectively.

This is also the first official Test match in Ranchi.
