CWG: Jwala-Ponnappa win silver

Glasgow, Aug 3 (IBNS) India's Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa settled for silver as they lost the final clash against Malaysian duo of Vivian Kah Mun Hoo and Khe Wei Woon of the women's doubles here on Sunday.

Jwala and Ashwini lost  the clash 21-17, 23-21.

On the same day, Parupalli Kashyap  clinched the gold medal in men's singles event by defeating Derek Wong of Singapore in the final 21-14 11-21 21-19.

The bronze medal was won by India's RV  Gurusaidutt. 

India has finished the sporting event with 64 medals in total.
