Marathi actor Atul Parchure dies at 57

Mumbai/IBNS: Marathi actor Atul Parchure on Monday died at the age of 57 after battling with cancer.

Parchure, who also worked in Bollywood, died while working on a stage show.

The actor experienced a relapse of cancer which he was battling for several years.

Parchure, who worked on all mediums, featured in Hindi films like Salaam-E-Ishq, Billu, Khatta Meetha, Bbuddah... Hoga Terra Baap, All The Best et al.

Among his Marathi films are Navra MazaNavsacha, Goolmaal, Amhi Satpute. 

He also featured in several Television programmes including very popular Comedy Night with Kapil. 

Mourning his demise, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde wrote on X, "... The untimely death of Atul Parchure, the ever-introverting classic actor, is painful. Atul Parchure started his brilliant acting career right from children's theatre. He left his mark in all the three fields of drama, film and serial..."
