Amyra Dastur set for comeback in Kollywood

Amyra is back in Kollywood with Manikandan’s next Odi Odi Uzhaikanum.

Starring opposite Santhanam, Amyra plays a strong, rebellious, modern woman. There has also been news of the leggy lass being cast alongside Hollywood sensation and martial arts expert, Jackie Chan, in an action adventure comedy titled Kung Fu Yoga.

On being asked about her sabbatical from the industry Amyra says, “After Anegan I got tied up with a Bollywood project and a couple of Telegu and Tamil films. I got offered Kung Fu Yoga and had to say no to all the offers!”

Kung Fu Yoga is slated to release on Jan 28 and also stars Sonu Sood.

Talking of her role in the movie Amyra revealed, “It is a typical Jackie Chan movie, in which I play Caira, a tough and sporty woman with a naughty side.”

Amyra who admires the works of Kangana Ranaut and Tamannah says that she is here to stay. As she wishes to keep acting even 10 years down the line. Amyra adds, “I will keep working in the film industry no matter what. If not an actress I might be a writer or producer.”

Amyra also has a knack for fashion and has started a collaboration with a fashion website. Speaking of her dream role Amyra says she would love to do a film based on Dance with Prabhudeva.
