Patna, Jan 5 (IBNS) A youth in Patna on Monday threw a shoe at Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi while he was meeting people to listen to their problems. The shoe missed him though.

According to reports, the youth, who threw the shoe accusing Manjhi of indulging in caste politics, was taken away by the police after the incident at the  weekly 'Janta Darbar' of the CM at his residence.

The man has been identified as Amitesh.

A day ago West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's nephew and Trinamool Congress parliamentarian  Abhishek Banerjee was slapped  at a public meeting in East Midnapore by a youth  while he was addressing people, triggering chaos and assault of the attacker by TMC supporters.

Banerjee was making a speech at a youth wing programme of TMC at Chandipore when the incident occurred on the dais.
