New Delhi/IBNS: Yogi Adityanath will take oath as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for the second term next Friday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has informed.

The BJP scored a historic win in the state elections, results of which were declared on March 10.

This is the first time a party returned to power in India's most crucial state in 37 years.

He has, since then, held two rounds of talks with the BJP's central leadership in Delhi including Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss candidates for his cabinet.

The swearing-in of Yogi Adityanath as the 23rd Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh is likely to be a grand event, the BJP had announced.

The ceremony is likely to be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and other union ministers attending the function.

A senior BJP leader earlier said the party is likely to hire LED vans and show the swearing-in function at the block level.
