Wreckage of EgyptAir aircraft located say investigators

Cairo, Jun 16 (IBNS): Egyptian investigators have claimed that wreckage of the EgyptAir flight that went missing over the Mediterranean in May has been found, according to media reports
A statement from the investigators, quoted by the BBC, said  "several main locations of the wreckage" had been identified. First images of the wreckage have been sent back by a deep sea search vessel.

The Airbus 320 aircraft, MS804, was flying from Paris to Cairo, with 66 people on board when it vanished from the Greek and Egyptian radar screens, without any distress calls, according to media reports.

The search vessel is now drawing up a map of the area over which the wreckage is distributed.

The distribution of the wreckage is expected to provide clues if the aircraft broke up in mid-air or it broke up after falling in the sea.

Wreckage of the plane and the debris are likely to be retrieved after all the on-site investigations are complete, media reported.
