Women, her daughter murdered in Andhra Pradesh town

Kakinada, Aug 25 (UNI) A woman and her daughter were brutally murdered by unidentified persons after they were hit with a hammer at their residence at Chappidivari Saavaram Dandu Gangamma street in Ramachandrapuram town, 40 kms from here on Sunday.

Police said the duo were found dead in a pool of blood with head injuries. A blood stained hammer was found by the side of the bodies.


Ramachandrapuram police who registered a case identified the woman as Balusu Madhavi (40) and her daughter as Balusu Karuna (19) . While Madhavi is working as an Aya in a private junior college, her daughter was a student of nursing.


They hail from a Kakinada suburban village and residing lonely. Madhavi’s Husband and teenaged son were working in a hotel in Kakinada.
Both the father and son went missing causing suspicion and search is on for them.


Pending further investigation the bodies were shifted to area hospital for postmortem, Police added.


Meanwhile, East Godavari Superintendent of Police Adnan Nayeem Asmi has visited the scene of murder and made inquiries with residents and understood to have obtained some clues. The police are hopeful of bringing the culprits to book in a day or two.
