Woman robbed, pushed off from moving train

Bhopal, Nov 20 (IBNS): In a shocking incident, a woman has been allegedly robbed and thrown away off a moving train on Wednesday night, media reported.

The incident took place near Karouda railway station in North-Central Madhya Pradesh.

According to reports, the woman, probably in her 20s, was recovered in unconscious state on Thursday moring near railway tracks.

She was admitted to state-run hospital in capital Bhopal.

She has reportedly sustained serious injuries in her head and face.

It has been learnt that the woman, identified as Rati Tripathi working with a private company in Delhi.

Police said that the woman said she has been robbed of her valuables including her cellphone when she was returing home in Malwa Express.

Media reported that the woman's family alleged that she was also sexually assaulted before being pushed out of the train.

Police is investigating the matter.

"She is stable now, but she has had a head injury. Investigation is underway, the culprits will be caught and punished," Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Babulal Gaur told the media.
