Will work together in united form: Nitish after Mulayam's lunch party
New Delhi, Nov 6 (IBNS): Ahead of the crucial Winter Session of the Parliament, Janata Dal-United (JD-U) leader Nitish Kumar on Thursday announced that his party, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Samajwadi Party (SP) and Janata Dal-Secular (JD-S) will unanimously raise issues to counter the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government at Centre.
The decision was taken at the luncheon meet in New Delhi which was hosted by Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav at his residence here.
RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, his wife Rabri Devi, Nitish Kumar, JDU chief Sharad Yadav, JDS chief Deve Gowda and Indian National Lok Dal's Dushyant Chautala were some of the guests of Mulayam Singh.
Speaking to the media after the luncheon, Nitish said: "We have unanimously decided that we will work together. As of now, we have decided to work together; whether a merger will happen or not we will see in the future," Nitish said amid speculations of a possible merger among these parties.
Nitish said: "We have decided that we will all work together as one unit and raise our voices.
Interestingly, these leaders were a part of a non-Congress and non-BJP "Third Front" which was on it way of formation ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
According to reports, they now plan to put together a "pressure or influence group of like-minded parties" ahead of the Winter Session of Parliament.
