Kolkata, Feb 7 (IBNS): West Bengal's Advocate General (AG) Jayanta Mitra and Additional Advocate General (AAG) Lakhsmi Gupta on Tuesday resigned from their posts, reports said.

According to reports, they both have forwarded their resignation letters to the Governor of Bengal, Keshari Nath Tripathi.

Due to disagreement with the state government over several cases, the AG and AAG have decided to quit their jobs, sources claimed.

However, neither the AG and AAG nor the state government has reacted on the issue yet.
