West Bengal: Second year college student shot dead at Titagarh

Kolkata/UNI:  A 2nd year college student was shot dead by some motorcycle borne assailants in front of his home in the industrial town of Titagarh under Barrackpore region in North 24 Parganas last evening.

Police today said two suspects have been arrested in the shootout on Friday evening where Taufiq Ali, a 2nd year student of of Arts faculty of Surendra Nath College ( Barrackpore), was shot dead in front of his house at Ward No 19 under Titagarh municipality.

Police said three suspects had come on a motorcycle and after having some argument with Taufiq shot him dead from a close range.

Police arrested two suspects and seized the weapon, which was used to
kill the 23-year-old undergraduate student.

The victim used to protest against the criminal activities in the locality.
