West Bengal: Drunk miscreant boards train with live bomb

Kolkata, Dec 4 (IBNS): A drunk anti-social reportedly hurled crude bombs at Katwa railway station's platform in West Bengal's Burdwan district on Sunday morning and boarded a local train with a live bomb in hand, triggering a huge panic among the passengers.

According to reports, the miscreant, who has been identified as Ali Hasimuddin Sheikh, went to Katwa railway station from Nanur in Birbhum district and had started throwing crude bombs, after having alcohol.

After hurling at least two bombs at station compound and platform, the anti-social boarded a Bandel bound local train.

Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel rushed to the scene and detained the miscreant, after stopping the local train.

A crude bomb was also recovered from his possession, according to police reports.

Due to the incident, service at the railway station was party disrupted and the RPF brought the situation under control very soon.
