We are committed to overall development of India without discrimination : PM Modi

Hyderabad, Nov 28 (IBNS) : Stating that the attention of the world is now on Hyderabad, which is hosting an international business summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said his Government is committed to overall development of the country without any discrimination against any state.

"Today, the attention of the world is on Hyderabad. This city is hosting a prestigious international summit where industry leaders from the world are joining," he said.

The PM  was addressing a crowd shortly after arriving in Hyderabad where he is scheduled attend the business meet along with US President Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka and inaugurate the city's metro service,

"We believe in cooperative federalism. There is no question of discriminating against states where we are not in power. We are committed for the overall development of our country," he said.

The PM also said that he is "touched by the warm welcome" accorded to him by the local people.

"Whatever BJP is today, it is due to the hardwork and sweat of countless NJP workers and their families. They have sacrificed a lot for the nation and have built the party brick by brick," he said.

Modi will inaugurate the first phase of the Hyderabad Metro.

The 30 km-long first phase of the metro rail project between Miyapur and Nagole will have 24 stations. PM Modi and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will travel by the metro from Miyapur to Kukatpally, and back.

After that, he will take part in the Global Entrepreneurship Summit and inaugurate metro services in the city.

"Will be in Hyderabad today, where I inaugurate the Hyderabad Metro and take part in the @GES2017. The Summit, which is jointly hosted with USA celebrates entrepreneurship. This year we are focussing on the theme 'Women First, Prosperity for All.’," the Prime Minister's tweet read.

The GES, jointly hosted by India and the US, will witness the presence of US President Donald Trump's daughter, Ivanka.

The 3-day programme will witness over 52 percent women participants.

"More than 10 countries will be represented by an all-female delegation, including from Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, and Israel," reported narendramodi.in, the Prime Minister's personal website.
