WB: Public bus falls into road-side canal in Howrah, 4 dead

Kolkata, Aug 10 (IBNS): At least four passengers were killed and as many as 27 others were injured when a bus, full of passengers, fell into a road-side canal at Penro area under Udaynarayanpur Police Station limits in West Bengal's Howrah district on Wednesday night, reports said.

According to reports, the bus lost its control due to heavy rain and fell into the canal.

Police and emergency services personnel rushed to the spot.

After being rescued, injured passengers were sent to several local and Kolkata hospitals.

The bus recovery operation is currently underway at the scene.
