Kolkata, Oct 9 (IBNS): Mutilated body of Bengali film and TV actor Rudranil Ghosh's father, Rabin Ghosh, was recovered from a railway track near Panskura station in West Bengal's East Medinipur district on Saturday night, reports said.

According to reports, Rabin Ghosh went missing from his residence at Jagacha area in Howrah district of West Bengal since Thursday late evening and a missing complaint was lodged in local police station on the next day.

After being informed, Rudranil Ghosh went to Pansukra GRP post and identified his father.

"After seeing my father's height, bag and other stuffs, I identified his body yesterday at a morgue in Tamluk," Rudranil Ghosh told IBNS.

"My father was an artist. He often left house, without informing anyone, and came home back safely. He possibly died after being hit by a train," Ghosh added.

Though no FIR has been lodged so far by Ghosh family, police have started investigation into the matter after initiating an unnatural death case, officials said.

Earlier in 2011, Rudranil Ghosh lost his mother during Durga Puja.
