Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev cherishes his visit to Taj Mahal

Agra, Sept 30 (IBNS):  Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on Sunday visited Mughal monument Taj Mahal and said the iconic structure is equally 'dear' to people of Uzbekistan and India.

"Taj Mahal-a monument equally dear to the peoples of Uzbekistan and Indi," the President tweeted.

He also tweeted an image of himself as he cherished his visit to the Taj Mahal.

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma received the Uzbek leader in Agra airport after he reached the state.


Shavkat Mirziyoyev has been serving as the President of the country since 2016.

This is his first visit to India.
