| | Jun 20, 2015, at 11:36 pm
Dehradun, June 20 (IBNS): At least 14 people were killed as a bus in which they were travelling dropped in a deep gorge in the hills of Uttarakhand's Almora district on Saturday, media reports said.

More than 20 others were injured in the mishap.

Rescue operations commenced after the accident, reports said.

The bus was going to Delhi when the mishap occurred at around 1 pm.

"The gorge is too deep and narrow. It has made rescue operations difficult. So far, 10 bodies have been recovered by the rescue teams. Fourteen passengers are feared dead,” Shyam Singh Rawat, Bhanoli police station in-charge, was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.
