Uttar Pradesh: Three of a family mowed down in Pratapgarh

Pratapgarh: A woman and her two sons were mowed down by a car in Sangipur area of Pratapgarh district here in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said here on Saturday.

Police sources said that Meenu (35), her two sons Ritik (8) and Kartik (5) were mowed down by the car while they were waiting for a vehicle alongside the road late on Friday evening.

"The injured were taken to the community health center where doctors declared Meenu and Kartik dead," they said.

Sources said that Ritik died while being taken to the medical college.

"The car driver has been nabbed and the bodies have been sent for post mortem examination. Meenu's husband Rahul Prajapati works in a private company in Ahmedabad," they said.
