Lucknow, Jan 31 (IBNS): Shivpal Yadav, uncle to Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav, has said on Tuesday that he will float a new party after Mar 11, according to media reports.

Speaking at Etawah, Shivpal has challeged his nephew to win the upcoming Assembly Election and prove his mettle.

Shivpal Yadav, who filed his nomination papers on Samajwadi Party ticket for Jaswantnagar, is close to Akhilesh's father, former UP chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav.

Uttar Pradesh will have a seven phase election, starting on Feb 11 and ending on Mar 8.

Counting of results for all the state assembly elections will be held on Mar 11.

Shivpal said that he will campaign for candidates who were denied party tickets by Akhilesh Yadav, according to media reports.

He claimed that he had requested Akhilesh Yadav, the current SP chief, to let Mulayam Singh Yadav remain the party chief but that did not happen, media reported.
