Uttar Pradesh: Father-son duo killed as tractor hits bike in Bhadohi

A father-son duo were killed when a motorcycle was hit by a tractor in Suriyawan area of Bhadohi district here in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said here on Monday.

Police sources said that the incident took place late on Sunday night when the motorcycle was hit by the tractor loaded with wood. "Om Prakash (30), a resident of Neta Nagar, and his son Priyanshu (8) were killed on the spot," they said.

Police sources said that the tractor driver fled from the spot leaving the vehicle behind. "It is being said that the accident took place as the tractor driver was in an inebriated state," they said.

Police sources said that the bodies have been sent for postmortem examination.

"The tractor has been impounded and efforts are being made to arrest the driver," they said.
