Uttar Pradesh: 19 police personnel injured as bus overturns in Kanpur

Kanpur/: At least nineteen police personnel were injured when a bus overturned near Naubasta by-pass Monday morning.

Police said the incident occurred when the roadways bus ferrying 45 police personnel overturned in a bid to overtake a truck.

"19 personnel were injured in the incident and have been admitted to Hallett hospital," Inspector Naubasta Amit Kumar Bhadana said.

He said the police party was going to Unnao on poll duty from Firozabad.

"Two policemen have suffered fractures in arm and leg, whereas 17 others injured minor injuries," he said.
