Uttar Pradesh: 10 miscreants held in Balrampur

Balrampur, Apr 1 (UNI) During a crackdown carried out in view of upcoming Lok Sabha polls in Uttar Pradesh, as many as ten miscreants were arrested by the Balrampur district police, police sources said on Monday.

The outlaws were arrested on Sunday during a checking drive, they said.

Sources here said those held have been identified as Amit Kumar, Munnu Giri, Suresh Gautam, Raju alias Anand, Rahul Yadav .Five 'tamanchas' and several cartridges were recovered from them.

The rest arrested are Aijaz Ahmed, Rajkumar Paswan, Hasan Mohammad alias Gole, Islam and Bhure from whom five sharp weapons have been seized.

All the offenders have been sent to jail after appearing in court, sources said.
