UP: House collapse kills 13

Lucknow, Feb 15 (BNS): A major portion of a newly constructed house collapsed in Uttar Pradesh's Dulhaipur village on Sunday which killed at least 13 people, reports said.

 As many as 14 people were inside the building when the mishap occurred.

According to reports, a child suffered serious injuries in the accident.

Rescue officials reached the spot to pull out people who were trapped under debris.

"Before the buried people could be rescued 12 members had already died while two seriously injured children were rushed to a Varanasi hospital where one child succumbed to injuries during the course of treatment," The Times of India reported.
