Union Home Minister Amit Shah to attend NEDA meeting in Guwahati

Guwahati, Sept 9 (IBNS): Union Home Minister Amit Shah will attend a crucial meeting of the BJP-led North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) in Guwahati on Monday.

BJP heads the governments in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura and Manipur, while it is part of the coalition governments in Nagaland and Meghalaya.

On the other hand, Mizoram’s ruling party Mizo National Front is also a part of BJP-led NDA.

The Chief Ministers of eight North Eastern states, top leaders of BJP and its 11 partner political parties will take part in the meeting.

The Union Home Minister arrived in Guwahati on Sunday and chaired the 68th plenary session of the North Eastern Council (NEC) held at Assam Administrative Staff College, Khanapara.
