Two Samba terrorists killed after gun battle with the army

Samba, Jammu and Kashmir, Mar 21(IBNS) The two terrorists who attacked an Army camp early on Saturday, have been killed, reports said.

The terrorists had opened fire and lobbed grenades at the camp of the 81 Armoured Regiment of the Army on Jammu-Pathankot highway.

A civilian was injured in the attack.

Reinforcements were brought in by the army while 'Infantry Combat Vehicles' moved from Jammu towards the encounter site.

The Jammu-Pathakot highway, on which the Army installation is situated, was closed for traffic for precautionary measures.

The incident was the second such attack in two consecutive days.

On Friday, altogether six people, including three CRPF personnel and a civilian were killed in an encounter between terrorists and police in Kathua district.

The two terrorists, who attacked a police station, 15 km from the international border,  were also killed.
