Two policemen, truck driver killed in UP accident

Hardoi/UNI: Two policemen and a truck driver were killed when the vehicle fell in the Garra river after jumping the railings of a bridge on Pali-Shahabad road in the district on Thursday.

Police said that a police team had seized the truck which was stolen 10 days back from Shahabad. The stolen truck was being brought to Hardoi by a team of policemen of the crime branch in which two were sitting in the truck along with the driver.

The two deceased policemen were identified as Shravan Jaiswal and Jitendra Sharma.

Senior police officials were on the spot to bring out the truck from the river and recover the bodies, which were still trapped in the vehicle.
