Two NDFB(S) militants nabbed in Assam

Guwahati, Jan 10 (IBNS) : Security forces on Saturday nabbed two hardcore militants belonging to the NDFB(S) in Assam's Kokrajhar district who were involved in the recent massacre by the militants group in Kokrajhar and Sonitpur district that killed more than 80 people.

Assam police IGP of BTAD Dr LR Bisnoi said that the militants identified as Genda and Bullet were apprehended at Kalabari area under Serfangguri police station in the district.

"The militants were involved in the recent massacre and they were closed with Jeblang alias Jagat Basumutary who was killed during an encounter with security forces on Saturday, " Dr Bisnoi said.

The police seized one 9mm pistol, five rounds ammunition in possess from them.

The top police official said that police had arrested the hardcore militant duo in their second operation after the encounter.
