Two killed, one injured in village clash

Rampur, Feb 21 (UNI): Two people were killed and another wounded when a minor brawl turned ugly in Civil Lines area of the city late Wednesday night.

A verbal spat between Panvadia village Pradhan's husband Sadat and Jhajhan, a villager, snowballed into a violent clash when people, belonging to two different communities, come forward in their (Sadat and Jhajhan) support and allegedly started firing at each other, police said.

In the incident, Sadat (42) and Jhajhan (28) were killed. Sadat's brother Salim was injured.

Both parties have registered FIRs against each other.

Security has been tightened in the village.
