Trinamool Congress disowns MoonMoon Sen's comments in support of PM Modi

Kolkata, Nov 4 (IBNS) The Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Wednesday disowned the pro-Prime Minister Narendra Modi comment made by party MP Moonmoon Sen, saying it "does not reflect Trinamool's views".

"The statement made by my colleague Moonmoon Sen is certainly not the view of the party," senior party leader Derek O'Brien tweeted.

Sen caused embarrassment for the Trinamool Congress  Tuesday when she exalted Modi and his performance.

"I think we should give him(Modi) a chance. He has done a very good job winning all those votes and we have to give him a chance as a prime minister to do anything," she had said.

"His own party (Bharatiya Janata Party) is not giving him a chance. Let's see what he does in five years and then we can go against him," Ms Sen told a television channel."
