Tribal outfits protest against Jharkhand CM following land law amendment

Ranchi, Jan 2 (IBNS): Tribal outfits in Jharkhand protested against Chief Minister Raghubar Das following a recent amendment in the land law, reports said.

The incident took place on Sunday during the CM's visit to Kharsawan to attend a memorial.

Upon seeing Das, the angry protesters hurled shoes and raised black flags, while a group barred him from entering the site.

Slogans of 'go back Chief Minister' were also heard, Hindustan Times reported.

The agitators said that the amended law will deprive them of their right on forest, water and land.
