Tourist dies after falling in gorge in Himachal Pradesh

Shimla: A 24-year-old girl tourist died after falling down in a gorge at Koksar in Lahaul Spiti district on Sunday, according to the district administration.

Soon after falling down in the gorge, the administration had started the rescue operation.

The tourist succumbed on the way to hospital.

The incident occurred near check post Sissu near Koksar at 5 pm in the evening when Ankansha, a resident of Jaipur, had fallen into a deep gorge after slipping in the avalanche prone area adjacent to the natural spring near Koksar.
