New Delhi, Sept 28 (IBNS) After the Bharaitya Janata Party looked askance at Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi's trip to Aspen in the US for a private conference and declared him as "missing," inviting a war of words with the opposition party, the scion of the Gandhi family on Monday tweeted a photo of him attending the programme, hosted by journalist Charlie Rose.

Rahul tweeted, "Very interesting discussions on the global economy and the disruptive power of technology at the conference in Aspen."

Former Union minister Milind Deora also tweeted Rahul's picture attending the conference.

"Very interesting discussions on the global economy &the disruptive power of tech at the conference in Aspen," the tweet says.

The Congress had earlier clarified that Rahul had gone to attend a private conference in Aspen titled 'Weekend With Charlie Rose' - after the Bharatiya Janata Party had contested the conference was actually in the months of June and July.

The Congress had dismissing BJP's criticism of Rahul's tour and said he would be back much before campaigning in Bihar polls gets underway.

"Rahul Gandhi is travelling to Aspen, US, on a short visit to attend a conference. 'Weekend with Charlie Rose' is a conference where thought leaders from different walks of life like politics, finance, technology, media, medicine, sports gather to deliberate on multiple issues," Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala had said.
