Ludhiana, Dec 10 (IBNS): Three policemen, including two assistant sub-inspector rank officers, in Ludhiana were suspended for dereliction of duty after a 16-year-old rape survivor, who was set on fire last week, died on Tuesday, media reports said.

The victim was set on fire allegedly by six people in Dhandari Khurd area of Ludhiana last Thursday.

Three of them were out on bail since last week after being arrested for allegedly raping her, reports said.

Sources said the 16-year-old had lodged a complaint against them two months ago.
